Grew up in: Guayaquil, Ecuador (South America).

Things he loves: Soccer, Jiu-Jitsu, Skateboarding, Surfing, and spending time with his family.

Why Jiu-Jitsu: Because it was the only martial art he practiced; where he could rely mainly on technique and not strength. (and also because one of his best friends brought a VHS tape of “The Ultimate Fighting Championship back to Ecuador, where he saw Royce Gracie dominating everyone).

Jiu-Jitsu Rank: Black Belt (3rd Degree).

Studied Jiu-Jitsu under: David Vieira (from white belt to purple belt) and Rodrigo Grenno (from purple belt to black belt).
